Why Hola Amigos?

We believe the best way to learn a language is through frequent exposure and plenty of opportunities to communicate.

When young children learn their first language, they do not process everything. They work out the meaning of things through images, body language, and understanding a few key words. This applies when acquiring a second language. In our Spanish classes, we introduce and reinforce the necessary vocabulary through songs, activities, story time and games. This contextual vocabulary development will allow them to communicate with other children in the classroom in Spanish.

  • Through early exposure to Spanish, children stay open to the particular sounds of the Spanish language.
  • Learning a second language at an early age may benefit problem-solving skills and general cognitive development.
  • We teach Spanish through storytelling, arts and crafts, movement activities, and music.
  • We have developed curriculum that immerse children in the language as much as possible in order to ensure retention.
  • Children will use Spanish as a tool for communication rather than learn it as a topic in itself.
  • We encourage children to communicate in Spanish in our classes. We also emphasize that there is no right and wrong in language acquisition. Initially, it is all about finding ways to get the point across.
