Hola Amigos was founded in 2015 by Raul Diaz and his wife, Khanh. Raul is from Spain and has an extensive background in working with children in preschool settings. Khanh is from Northern California and has an MA in elementary education. They first came upon the idea of Hola Amigos when they found that there was a lack of Spanish language learning opportunities for their preschool-aged daughters, Clara and Elena. Together with a group of Spanish bilingual preschool teachers, they developed the Hola Amigos curriculum. They are grateful for the opportunity to spread the joy of learning the Spanish language through Hola Amigos.
